Am I Covered Under a U of T Student Dental Plan?

Most likely, yes. Many University of Toronto students are automatically enrolled in a student dental plan through their student union unless they have opted out or have alternative coverage. If you’re unsure which plan applies to you, our team can help you verify your coverage.

Direct Billing to Your Student Plan (Green Shield)

Pape Dental Centre offers direct billing to Green Shield, which administers many University of Toronto student dental plans. Instead of paying the full cost in advance and submitting paperwork yourself, we can bill your eligible insurance directly. Please bring the following items to your appointment:

Our Dental Services for U of T Students

Our team provides a full range of dental services designed to fit your busy student schedule.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction

Our dentists remove your wisdom tooth if it causes pain, infection, crowding, or damage to nearby teeth. A part of the surgical extractions may be covered as well. Also, if a referral is needed, we'll guide you through the process.

Dental Fillings

Our tooth-coloured fillings restore the strength and appearance of your teeth and blend naturally with your smile. Many student dental plans cover the cost of fillings. However, a co-payment may apply depending on your remaining coverage and the specific procedure.

Emergency Dental Services

Severe tooth pain, a broken tooth, swelling, and a knocked-out tooth are all considered dental emergencies. Call Pape Dental Centre today to schedule a same-day emergency appointment whenever availability allows.

Root Canal Therapy

If the inside of a tooth becomes infected, root canal therapy can often save the tooth and relieve pain. Your student plan may cover a portion of the treatment, although some cases may require a co-payment.

Regular Dental Checkups for U of T Students

During your dental visits, we'll examine your teeth and gums and check for early signs of decay. During your checkup, you may receive professional cleaning and fluoride treatment. Dental sealants may also be included.
