Dental Bonding on Danforth: Affordable Smile Restoration

This cosmetic, restorative procedure involves bonding tooth-coloured restorative material to teeth in order to restore them, or sometimes simply to mask discolouration or to restore fractured or chipped teeth, achieving a beautiful esthetic result. Veneers are also available in porcelain – a thin layer that is bonded to healthy tooth structure. With this procedure, tooth colour can be changed to provide the patient with a translucent, uniform, white colour, as well as to fill in gaps where necessary or alter the appearance of tooth contour (to make them more uniform).

Application of Bonding Material

A tooth-colored resin is carefully applied and shaped to match your natural teeth, correcting chips, gaps, or discoloration seamlessly.

Final Adjustments and Polishing

The bonding material is hardened with a special light, then adjusted and polished to ensure a smooth finish that blends perfectly with your smile.

5 stars through and through ! I have been seeing Dr. Jane Halkiotis and her excellent Hygienists at Pape Dental Center for close to 20 years now. With every single visit they welcome me and I leave with the very best care every single time. Not only has this clinic gone out of their way to accomodate me for emergency dental work, but Dr. Jane has also fixed one of my teeth I was extremely insecure about which has held up for years now. She practically fixed my smile perfect ! She is the very best dentist hands down in the Toronto area in my opinion. This place is under rated and deserves 6 stars. Her staff are so kind and pleasant and they really care about you and your health. Even if I moved I would never change dentists. If you want the best care and dental work in GTA Toronto area, go here and see Dr. Jane and her team ! Jess

FAQs about Dental Bonding on Danforth

Dental bonding typically lasts 3 to 10 years, depending on factors like oral hygiene, lifestyle habits, and the location of the bonded tooth. Regular dental visits and avoiding hard foods or habits like nail-biting can help extend its lifespan and maintain its appearance.
Dental bonding is a minimally invasive and virtually painless procedure. Since it usually does not require drilling or anesthesia, most patients feel comfortable during the treatment. Some may experience slight sensitivity afterward, but this typically resolves quickly without any long-term discomfort.
Dental bonding uses a tooth-colored resin applied directly to the tooth’s surface, while veneers are custom-made porcelain shells that cover the front of the tooth. Bonding is less expensive and quicker, but veneers are more durable and resistant to staining, offering a longer-lasting solution.
Caring for bonded teeth is simple: maintain good oral hygiene with regular brushing and flossing, avoid biting hard objects, and visit your dentist for check-ups. Minimize consumption of stain-causing foods and drinks to keep the bonding material looking bright and natural.
Yes, dental bonding can be safely removed or redone. If the bonding material wears down or you want to make further adjustments, your dentist can replace or reshape it without damaging your natural tooth.
Dental bonding may be covered by insurance if it is deemed medically necessary, such as for repairing a chipped tooth. However, cosmetic bonding is usually not covered. It’s best to check with your insurance provider for specific coverage details.
