Pape Dental Centre is a dental clinic at 759 Pape Avenue on Danforth Avenue in Toronto. Dr. Jane Halkiotis and Dr. Sasan Shahrbandi lead a team of general dentists registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO). We treat patients from across the Danforth, East York and Greektown, both for scheduled checkups and for dental emergencies. We accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan and bill most insurance providers directly.
Your first appointment at Pape Dental Centre takes about an hour. This is the order it follows.
Complete the new patient form online before you come in, or arrive ten minutes early and fill it out at reception. Bring your insurance card or CDCP client number.
The dentist reviews your medical history and any medications you take, then asks what brought you in.
The dentist checks your teeth and gums for decay and gum disease. An oral cancer screening is part of the same exam.
Digital X-rays are taken when we have none on file or your last set is more than a year old. We can also request records from your previous dental office.
The hygienist removes plaque and tartar above and below the gumline, then polishes. If your gums need treatment first, we book the cleaning for a separate visit.
The dentist goes over what the exam found. Any recommended treatment comes with a written estimate and your insurance or CDCP portion before you book it.
